REVIEW: Sailing compare Cancun and Riviera Maya
( Puerto Aventuras - Playa del Carmen - Akumal - Tulum)
These photos tell the story better than words. North of Cancun toward Isla Mujeres the Caribbean turns a luminous turquoise, shallow and glassy, so catamarans can anchor almost anywhere and guests swim in calm water all day. Head south past Maroma and Playa del Carmen and the sea deepens to navy blue with more swell and wind, yet that same deep water off Puerto Aventuras feeds the Cozumel channel where serious sportfishing begins. Choosing the right departure point shapes whether your day is about lazy swimming or chasing big fish.

If your ride is 6 hours or more the area north of Cancun Isla Mujeres is incomparable, the waters are calm transparent and make the swim anywhere. Island gives a place of repair and to stop all activities and northern peninsula is shallow, no waves or wind.
The winds are the main problem for the ship to move and people break down, ruining the output to the whole group. This is very common in southern exits while the area of the island allows peace to avoid that even in difficult weather days
The photos shown here allow you to see what's in the two areas and clearly show the differences
For short trips of four hours Maroma is a good place and its location is ideal for those who are in Playa del Carmen or between CARMEN and Cancun
For those looking for a fishing trip Puerto Aventuras is an ideal outlet for quickly entering the Cozumel channel where the depth of the ocean can catch all kinds of fish.
