Horseback Riding on Maroma Beach, Riviera Maya

Ride through tropical jungle and gallop along white-sand Maroma Beach on a guided horseback tour near Playa del Carmen, with a refreshing cenote swim.

Wide panoramic photo of a group of tourists on horseback lined up along a sandy beach dune, palm and scrub vegetation on the left and open sea on the right under a bright blue sky.

Maroma sits between Playa del Carmen and Puerto Morelos, where soft white sand meets some of the calmest turquoise water on the Riviera Maya. Our horseback tours pair an easy jungle trail — great for spotting local birds and mangroves — with open stretches of beach where confident riders can pick up the pace. Gentle, well-cared-for horses suit beginners and families alike, and bilingual guides stay close throughout. After the ride, relax with lunch at our Maroma beach club just five minutes away, or combine the tour with snorkeling, ATVs or a catamaran sail.
