Every December, Cancun's Nichupte Lagoon transforms into a glittering waterway as dozens of yachts and boats, decked in Christmas lights, sail in formation at sunset. The Cancun Boat Parade has become a beloved holiday tradition — a magical evening cruise with fireworks, live music, cocktails and prizes for the best-decorated vessel. Whether you watch from the shoreline of the Hotel Zone or join the procession aboard a private charter, it is a festive experience unlike any other in the Mexican Caribbean.
Sunset World invites you to celebrate the new Christmas tradition in the Caribbean, the Sunset Boat Parade 2013. For the second straight year, illuminated and decorated boats will cruise Nichupte Lagoon under a nighttime fireworks display.

A new tradition in Cancun: a yacht parade of festively decorated boats through the Nichupte Lagoon at sunsetlagoon marks the beginning of the Christmas season. At the end of the parade, attendees will enjoy a cocktail party with musical entertainment, and a fireworks show. The top three boats with the best decorations will receive prizes. Want to watch the parade? You'll be able to see it from the lagoon side of the Cancun hotel zone Hotels anywhere between Km 7 and 14, or from the Malecon downtown. 
This year's Cancun Boat Parade will be held on December 1st. Participating boats and yachts are festooned with Christmas lights and decorations and depart from the Sunset Admiral Yacht Club & Marina, traveling through the lagoon to Malecón Tajamar at downtowm to Marina Aquaworld at end of hotel zone, before returning to the marina admiral.
